La Cuisine is thrilled to welcome Bozeman’s Bitterroot Bistro and its celebrated Chef Gabriel Lopez for a culinary journey highlighting the Bistro’s signature flavors. This immersive class offers an exciting opportunity to learn from a local culinary talent and create a full-course meal featuring Montana-inspired comfort food. Here’s what’s on the menu:
Trout Dip: Creamy, smoky, and full of flavor, this appetizer sets the tone for the evening.
Beef Pasties: The heart of the class focuses on creating the Bistro’s celebrated Beef Pasties. Chef Lopez will guide attendees through the entire pastry process including making a rich, homemade Beef Gravy from scratch, including an in-depth walkthrough of creating a classic Béchamel sauce. Participants will have the chance to make and bake their own pasties during the class. Each guest will enjoy two full pasties for their main course, paired with the freshly made gravy.
Lemon Posset: To finish the evening on a sweet note, guests will savor individual Lemon Possets, a velvety citrus dessert that’s both light and indulgent. While this dish requires 24 hours to set, Chef Lopez will demonstrate the preparation and share tips for perfecting this simple yet elegant recipe.
This class promises to be a delightful evening of hands-on learning, delicious food, and inspiration from one of Bozeman’s finest chefs. Don’t miss your chance to bring the flavors of Bitterroot Bistro to your own kitchen!
