Taste of Vietnam with Ginger Cookery on Tue, May 20, 2025 at 06:00 PM

Experience the bold flavors and cultural richness of Vietnamese cuisine in this immersive cooking class. Led by expert instructor, Thuy Le, you’ll explore a mix of demonstration and hands-on techniques to craft a menu that showcases both tradition and innovation.

Menu Highlights:

🥢 Stir-Fried Rare Beef Pho (Phở Tái Lăn) – A Northern-style take on pho featuring tender stir-fried beef, a clear, aromatic broth, and fresh rice noodles.

🌿 Fresh Spring Rolls (Gỏi Cuốn) – A light, refreshing appetizer served with two signature dipping sauces: a classic sweet-sour fish sauce and a creamy peanut-hoisin blend.

🍤 Royal Crispy Prawns – Juicy shrimp encased in a crispy shredded potato crust, paired with “Sun-Kissed Mayo” and a tangy “Tropical Glaze.”

☕ Vietnamese Iced Milk Coffee (Bạc Sỉu) – A creamy, slow-drip coffee indulgence brewed with Vietnam’s signature robusta beans. Join us for a flavorful evening that blends storytelling, technique, and the vibrant essence of Vietnam. Spaces are limited—reserve your spot today!

With nearly 20 years of experience in Vietnam’s travel and hospitality industry, Thuy Le has owned a travel agency, a homestay, and co-owned a hostel and restaurant on Cat Ba Island—part of the stunning Cat Ba archipelago in Northern Vietnam. Her passion for cooking was nurtured from a young age by her mother, a talented home cook who ran a family restaurant in the 1990s. As the eldest child, she spent countless hours in the kitchen, laying the foundation for her culinary journey.

In 2013, she opened a small restaurant in Hanoi, where she served as both owner and chef. Five years later, she founded a cookery studio in her hometown of Ha Long City—home to the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay. There, she and her team hosted immersive cooking classes, incorporating visits to local wet markets to offer guests a deeper connection to Vietnam’s rich food culture.
