Join Colombian-born chef Claudia Galofre-Krevat for a journey throughout Latin America, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a grand tour of the region's culinary traditions.
The journey will start in Brazil with a demonstration of how to prepare a Caipirinha cocktail, a famous Brazilian drink made with Cachaca and lime juice. Then, participants will engage in a hands-on cooking class, working in pairs to create Mexico's Vegetarian Tacos of Espinaca y Garbanzos (Spinach and Garbanzo Tacos) topped with pico de gallo.
The next stop will be Chile for a unique dish of Pastel de Choclo con Pebre Sauce (Corn and Beef pie with Pebre Sauce), accompanied by Colombian-Caribbean Coconut Rice. Lastly, the tour will conclude in Nicaragua with a demonstration of assembling the well-known Tres-Leches Cake, a sinful concoction of milk, cake, and whipped cream.
Suggested Wine Pairings:
*To purchase the wine pairing, please stop by The Wine Gallery. Let them know you are purchasing these wines for a LaCuisine class and receive special pricing. The Wine Gallery is open until 6:00PM, so either pick up earlier in the week or stop by on your way to class -- they are literally across the street.
**Please note our class policies at https://lacuisine-bozeman.com/pages/class-policies. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept cancellations. Our chefs have worked very hard to prepare for the evening's event and ingredients are purchased in advance. If you call to let us know about a conflict, La Cuisine may be able to help fill your seats.
