Grab a mask, some beads (the life blood of Carnival season in New Orleans!) and join James Beard award winning Chef Tory McPhail for our Montana interpretation of Mardi Gras. We will celebrate the pre-Lenten season while learning from the best chef in Bozeman, and the expert from Commander's Palace in New Orleans. Every meal from Chef Tory is one to remember, but this one will top them all.

Chef Tory will be dressed festively, and we will be offering a prize for Best Dressed Guest, so come ready to get into the spirit of things!

Mardi Gras parades run early in the morning, mid-day and on into the night with some Mardi Gras costume balls going well into the wee hours of the morning or until you can't stand up anymore. The best Carnival foods are designed to be held warm for long periods of time so parade goers can have good party base on hand to absorb the alcohol and give you stamina all day. One of the most famous dishes is called Grillades & Grits and is served at the Queens Supper after big parades like Rex, Endymion and Bacchus so the royalty can have a hot satisfying meal after pouring themselves off of their floats after having a good ride down
St Charles Avenue and Canal Street.

Brandy Milk Punch

Wine Pairing: 2021 Commanderie De La Bargemone Rose Provence France $19.95 - wild strawberries, red currants, white flowers.

*To purchase the wine pairing, please stop by The Wine Gallery. Let them know you are purchasing these wines for a LaCuisine class and receive special pricing. The Wine Gallery is open until 6:00PM, so either pick up earlier in the week or stop by on your way to class -- they are literally across the street.

**Please note our class policies at https://lacuisine-bozeman.com/pages/class-policies. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept cancellations. Our chefs have worked very hard to prepare for the evening's event and ingredients are purchased in advance. If you call to let us know about a conflict, La Cuisine may be able to help find a replacement for your seat(s) using our waitlist. If the seat can be filled, we may be able to credit your class for another date. Alternatively, we recommend you coordinate for someone else to take your seat(s).
